Seven new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Meghalaya today, as well as four recoveries and no new fatalities.
Six of the new infections were reported in West Jaiñtia Hills and one in Ri-Bhoi.
Three of the new infections in West Jaiñtia Hills were high-risk contacts, while the other three and the one in Ri-Bhoi were detected through screening.
Two of the recoveries were in East Khasi Hills while there was one each in West Jaiñtia Hills and West Khasi Hills.
In all, Meghalaya has had 13,893 Covid-19 cases, of which 137 are active, 13,607 have recovered and 148 have died from the virus. The recovery rate is 97.94 percent. The fatality rate is 1.07 percent. There were also around 1,300 Covid tests carried out in the last 24 hours.
