A school in Baghmara has called on the authorities to close the road that runs past the institution during certain times of day to reduce the number of accidents involving children.
The headmaster of Pioneers Secondary School has written to the police saying that the road should be closed in the morning as children reach school and at the end of the school day. The narrow road in question runs in front of Pioneers School and behind the Rangku Memorial Girls Secondary School.
The headmaster called for the road to be closed from 8:30 to 9:30am and 2:30 to 3:30pm to ensure the school children’s safety.
