A notification has been issued in the Governor of Meghalaya’s name confirming the renaming of several roads and two government buildings in the state.
The notification was dated July 29 but shared with the media only today. This confirms a state cabinet decision taken on July 19.
The approach road from National Highway 217 to Baghmara Bong Market has been renamed Capt Williamson A Sangma Road for the first Chief Minister of Meghalaya.
