Members of the Ri-Bhoi unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) convened a public meeting today to raise awareness among party workers and the public about various government schemes provided by the central government.
The meeting was held at Byrnihat and saw the presence of BJP state vice-president Gagan Jain, BJP state youth secretary Meet Tariang, BJP district president Sen Thabah and others.
Evarist Myrsing, the BJP’s state general secretary, highlighted schemes such as the PMAY, Ayushman Bharat health insurance, PMGSY and Jal Jeevan Mission and said that they have benefited lakhs of people across the country.
BJP national council member David Kharsati commended the proactive efforts of party leaders at the Centre and urged the Meghalayan people to take advantage of these schemes. Kharsati also stressed the BJP’s commitment to retaining its position as the ruling party after the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
