The Reserve Bank of India, Shillong today conducted a district level quiz competition for school students in Khliehriat, Mawkyrwat and Jowai on financial literacy.
The quiz was conducted with the motive to give further impetus to financial literacy efforts and to fulfill the vision of creating a financially aware and empowered India. The topics related to banking/ financial sector and economy including G 20 fora were covered in the quiz.
Sutnga Government UP School bagged the first prize while the first and second runner up title went to Rymbai Government Secondary School and Tep Kyndait Government UP School respectively.
In Mawkyrwat, Donbok Pariong of Mawsaw Government Upper Primary School emerged as the winner.
In Jowai, Nongtalang Government Secondary School bagged the first prize, Sohkha Government Higher Secondary School and Jowai Public School won the first and second runner up prize respectively.
The winners of the district level quiz will compete at the state level, which will be followed by a zonal level quiz and will finally culminate at a national level that will be held during the G20 event.
