The court of judicial magistrate (first class) DKK Mihsill has sent three accused to judicial custody in connection with the murder case of Indore businessman Raja Raghuvanshi.
Silom James, the property dealer was sent to 14 days judicial custody, while Lokendra Singh Tomar, the owner of a flat in Indore, and security guard Balla Ahirwar were remanded to seven days judicial custody.
All three faced charges related to obstruction of justice and tampering with evidence at a flat in Indore, where prime accused Sonam had stayed after fleeing Meghalaya following the murder.
The special investigation team of the Meghalaya Police probing the murder had said the accused persons had destroyed crucial evidence, including a bag containing a laptop and other materials, and had also burnt a bag. The police also recovered Rs 50,000 cash from a box stored in a car in Indore and a country-made pistol with two magazines from a stream in Indore.
