An earthquake measuring 5.5 in the Richter Scale jolted Meghalaya today.
According to the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake occurred at 2:14 pm and lasted for a few seconds.
With its origin in Myanmar, the earthquake affected parts of North East India as well as Bangladesh.
On May 29 evening, an earthquake of 5.6 magnitude struck Meghalaya. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 110 km and its epicentre was Myanmar.
