The state government has scrapped the need for families to first seek permission from respective Deputy Commissioners of Sub-Divisional Officers before holding funerals.
This was stated in an order passed by the Home (Political) Department today. However, attendees at funerals should still adhere to all Covid-19 protocols, including those relating to attendance capacity.
