South West Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner, who also chairs the district task force under Intensified Mission Indradhanush, has urged parents and stakeholders to extend their support in the routine immunisation activities so as to ensure that all children get the due dose of immunization and are not deprived of vaccination.
A meeting was also held today with health and other allied departments at the Circuit House which stressed on the need to reduce infant mortality rate by improving fully immunization coverage of children between 0 – 5 years and pregnant mothers under the mission.
