The Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region has launched a ‘one stop solution’ web portal for career and livelihood titled, “Advancing North East”.
The web portal (www.advancingnortheast.in) dedicated to the youth of Northeast was developed by the North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Limited (NEDFi) and funded by the North Eastern Council.
The portal aims to facilitate informed career decision by the students, job seekers and entrepreneurs of the North Eastern region and to improve their competitiveness at national and global level.
It also aims to increase employability and develop entrepreneurship in the region by educating the youth with emerging opportunities and connecting them with the support ecosystem. The portal also promotes and celebrates success stories of the region and acts as a centre of knowledge sharing among entrepreneurs, mentors, industry experts and youth.
The portal will act as a virtual mentor in the field of education, employment and entrepreneurship.
President Ram Nath Kovind recently launched the web portal during the valedictory ceremony of the North East Festival organized by the ministry.
