The Director of National Highway Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) has assured to carry out immediate repair of the stretch of National Highway-40 from Wahkdait to Dawki.
The NHIDCL Director gave the assurance during his meeting with a delegation of HNYF Southern Ri-War Circle on March 28.
In a letter submitted to the NHIDCL official, the organisation informed that the stretch of the highway from Wahkdait to Dawki was in a dilapidated condition and many potholes full of rain water have appeared at many places.
“This becomes more terrible for travelling as drivers cannot see the road properly when driving on it. Therefore, this situation is very risky for driving on this road and thus posing grave danger for drivers as well as passengers,” the HNYF Southern Ri-War Circle said in the letter while also seeking immediate repair of the damaged highway stretch.
