New containment orders have been issued by the District Magistrate of East Khasi Hills to fight the spread of Covid-19.
The house of Amarjeet Singh and Gurmeet Singh, opposite Angel’s Play School in Upper Lachumiere; the compound of Rejoice Chyne in Nongrimbah Block 3, Laitumkhrah; and the compound of Annie Rumnong, La I Mei Lane, Holy Ground Road, Nongkynrih, Laitumkhrah have all been declared as micro-containment areas.
Meanwhile, containment has been lifted from the Home Guards & Civil Defence campus, Mawdiangdiang; Quarter No. E-6 of Survey of India, Barik; the house of Rodha Wahlang in Jaiaw Langsning; the house of N Marwein in Lawsohtun Block 5; the apartment of Jibotosh Bhattacharjee, a tenant of the Dr Phanbuh building in Bishnupur Inverneil; the apartment of Kmalendu Roy, a tenant of the Manaf Bindra Ghosh building in Rilbong; the resident of Kenneth Mawthoh at Dhanketi, Malki; and the compound of Dr Micky Khyriem (including tenants) at Lawjynriew Lumbasuk-A, Nongthymmai with immediate effect.
