Orders relating to containment to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in East Khasi Hills were promulgated by the District Magistrate today.
The house of R Kharjana, Pdengshnong, Lower Mawprem has been declared a containment zone in order to restrict unregulated entry and exit on the site.
Meanwhile, containment orders have been lifted from the house of S Roy in the compound of B Nongkhlaw, Howell Road Laban; the house of P Lyngdoh in the building of S Khongjee, Anand Bhavan, Howell Road Laban; the houses of Roma Devkota, Pooja Thapa and Sushila Gewali at Nepali compound, Rilbong; and the apartment of Pronoti Choudhary, Chinmoy Paul building in Rilbong (near Beat House) with immediate effect.
