With the aim of reducing traffic congestion, the police will make the steep NEEPCO road one way for a trial period of eight days beginning Friday.
Vehicles will not be allowed to come from Polo/Demseiniong up the NEEPCO road to Laitumkhrah police point, though exceptions will apply to emergency vehicles.
The trial will run from May 3 to 10 from 11am to 7pm on those dates.
Vehicles wishing to go to Laitumkhrah from Polo/Demseiniong will have to use the road running past BK Bajoria School.
