The Deen Dayal Upadhyay Community College for Skill Development (DDUCCSD), a constituent college of North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), hosted a five-day “Musical Troupe” training program aimed at delivering high-quality and innovative performing arts training at Wahiajer.
The program, which concluded yesterday, was designed to inspire local artists, nurture musical talent, and help students realize their artistic potential.
Participants received advanced musical training, including practical demonstrations from renowned Bollywood film producer and distributor, Prasenjit Mishra, whose illustrious career has left a significant impact on the Indian film industry.
NEHU Vice-Chancellor Professor PS Shukla highlighted the importance of fostering an inclusive environment, where the youth of the community can explore their passions and grow their musical abilities.
“These vital skills are essential in the world of performing arts tht will offer local artists and youth opportunities to develop their talents, help them communicate with broader audiences and collaborate with diverse artists, much like learning a new language,” he said.
