A delegation led by BJP State president Earnest Mawrie is meeting Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on November 30 to discuss the Mukroh firing incident which claimed six lives including five villagers.
Informing this today, BJP national secretary Rituraj Sinha said that the BJP delegation will take up with the Assam chief minister about the incident and seek strongest action against the police personnel involved in the firing.
“The BJP stands with the people of Meghalaya, Jaintia Hills and the village of Mukroh and we will do our best to support them,” Sinha said.
It may be mentioned that yesterday during his visit to Mukroh, Sinha had said that he would make a plea to the Assam chief minister to remove the Assam forest check post from Mukroh.
