MTET passed teachers in South Garo Hills have urged the State government to speed up appointment in lower and upper primary schools with vacancy.
According to the qualified teachers, some teachers who qualified the test are soon crossing their age. “They will be the worst sufferer for no fault of theirs if the government does not make the appointments on time,” the teachers said in a letter to Chief Minister Conrad Sangma today.
Pointing out that there are a number of vacant posts lying in government primary schools in the district, the teachers want the government to make the appointments before the next academic session starts.
They also urged the government to withhold holding of MTET examination in future till the vacant posts are filled up as per the RTE norms.
