The Department of Music, Martin Luther Christian University, Shillong once again set the stage on fire with mesmerizing performances of students at the 9th edition of ‘Ha Kylli ki Khriang’ an annual concert of the department held at Wahingdoh community hall yesterday.
The literal translation of the title of the concert is ‘The Circle of Rhythm’, named as such as it was a melting pot of different genres.
The main objective of this performance was to provide a platform for the students to showcase their skills and technicalities they have learnt throughout the semester.
The repertoire includes original compositions, folk music, folk fusion and covers. The experiential learning opportunity in performance was also evaluated by noted musicians from Shillong who have provided encouraging and constructive feedback to further enhance technical and interpretive skills of students.
