Sungoh, of Shangpung in West Jaintia Hills, has been sponsored for this course by the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs. The training will run from April 1 to 28.
MeSCMA said that Sungoh completed his Basic Mountaineering Course from the National Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports (NIMAS) in Arunachal Pradesh by securing Grade A, the highest grade possible, and was thus recommended for this advanced training.
