A girl from DPI Compound, Crinoline Swimming Pool Road, Shillong, who went missing in December last year, was traced to Bidupur village, Vaishali district in Bihar.
The girl, Sonali Kumari reportedly went missing on December 21, 2022 from her residence and a case was registered at Laban police station.
East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police, Sylvester Nongtnger in a press release said, “On acquiring some clues on the matter, a police team from East Khasi Hills District led by Inspector KP Singh, OC Laitumkhrah PS proceeded to Bihar in search of the missing girl and recovered Miss Sonali Kumari yesterday.”
Meanwhile police said it has emerged that she had eloped to get united with her lover in Bihar.
