Shillong, Jun 1: South West Garo Hills police have rescued a man, Piramush Ch. Momin, who had been reported missing while travelling from Guwahati to Dadri, Noida.
Momin went missing on May 18, prompting an urgent search and rescue operation by local authorities.
After sustained efforts and detailed coordination, credible information about Momin’s whereabouts was received on May 28, the district police said.
Acting promptly, the police established contact with an individual who was assisting Momin and liaised with SPUNER, Delhi Police and Meghalaya House, New Delhi.
Momin safely arrived in Ampati on May 31, where he underwent a medical examination at the civil hospital, confirming that he was in good health, police said.
The district police expressed gratitude to the Delhi police, local authorities in Uttar Pradesh, and Meghalaya House, New Delhi for their invaluable assistance in this successful recovery operation.
