The Mawmluh Cherra Cements Ltd (MCCL) employees’ union will hold a general meeting on January 8 at the factory office.
The state government had recently announced its decision to wind the state-owned company up after years of massive financial losses and the inability to find a suitable private partner to take on the running of the company.
President of the workers’ union, S Diengdoh, told Highland Post that the union held its executive committee meeting on December 21 and he urged all workers to attend the general meeting on Monday.
