Jaintia Youth Federation (JYF) has expressed happiness over the decision taken by the government to commence the academic session to the higher secondary section at Rymbai Government Higher School in East Jaintia Hills.
This was informed by Joint Director of School Education & Literacy, Jowai AP Syiem to a delegation of the JYF today.
In 2022, the JYF had raised a demand to set up a government higher secondary school in the district.
According to the group, they had impressed upon the government the need to set up a higher secondary school in Khliehriat to pave the way for students who cannot afford to pursue studies outside the district.
