The India Meteorological Department (IMD) today said that heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely at isolated places in Meghalaya during the next two days.
In its bulletin, the IMD issued a rainfall warning on March 31 and April 1 in the state. It also said thunderstorm and lightning and gusty wind with wind speed of 30 to 40 Kmph is likely to occur.
The department said that this is due to the cyclonic circulation over south Assam and neighbourhood between 1.5 and 3.1 km above mean sea level has become less marked.
