The sixth edition of the Business Leadership Summit, 2023 under the theme, “Evolving Horizons of Global South: Navigating the Confluence of Technology, Talent, and Transformation in Indian Context,” was held at IIM Shillong.
The two day summit brought together 30 chief experience officers from various industries across the country and to provide a platform for industry leaders and students to discuss and learn about various aspects of the corporate world, with a focus on India’s leading role in the evolving global landscape.
A precursor panel discussion was held today participated by Prof. Sanjoy Mukherjee, who illuminated India’s management evolution, emphasizing unity within diversity, and Prof. Rohit Dwivedi who stressed on the need to engage industry leaders to address real business challenges.
The discourse covered various perspectives, including consumer insights, operational relationships, and sustainability challenges. Prof. Ashutosh Murti highlighted the emergence of technology, setting the stage for the forthcoming discussions at the summit.
Earlier State Bank of India Chairman Dinesh Kumar Khara who virtually inaugurated the summit, in his keynote address highlighted the advancements in the Global South, emphasizing the significance of data, artificial intelligence (AI) integration, and India’s digital leap, particularly through the Aadhaar initiative.
IIM Shillong will also host the 14th season of “Learning on the Green Turf” – a Golf tournament from tomorrow at the Shillong Golf Course in collaboration with the Meghalaya Tourism Department and supported by OIL India Ltd.
