Under pressure Shillong Lajong FC picked up 3 points in a 1-0 win against Real Kashmir FC in I-League 2024-25 at the SSA Stadium at First Ground, Polo, here this evening.
Aman Ahlawat produced the only goal of the game in the 34th minute. It was the defender’s first I-League goal in only his second match at this competition.
The victory was Lajong’s second of the season and takes them to 9 points and seventh place; they have also drawn three games and lost two. Before today SLFC were in 10th position.
The visitors would have been third had they won but, instead, they remain on 9 points.
With this welcome win in their back pocket, Lajong will next welcome SC Bengaluru on 13th January at 4:30pm.
