The Hynñiewtrep Youths’ Council (HYC), War Jaiñtia circle has highlighted the urgent need for the government to address the extremely poor conditions of the Pdengshekap primary health centre.
Members of the organisation led by their President Yoodahunki Shylla visited the health centre and said most of the rooms saw rain water leakages and without proper dustbins.
Shylla said that the ambulance was not in proper condition and unable to cater to the critical needs of patients.
Besides poor infrastructure, the PHC staff are working under stressful conditions with lack of mobile network, to even complete online related works such as facilitating MHIS, he added.
Shylla said the 50 KWp Solar PV power plant implemented by MNREDA in 2016-17 and executed by the Aditi Solar Pvt LTD has stopped functioning.
