Police and the dorbar shnong of Lumshyiap are looking for parents of a newborn boy who was dumped in a garbage truck today morning.
The infant was discovered in the truck by the driver and helper when they were sorting the garbage that they had collected from the public
Rangbah Shnong of Lumshyiap, Phira Khongphai, said that the driver informed him of the discovery at around 8am.
Members of the Seng Samla, Seng Longkmie and a few members of the executive committee of the Dorbar Shnong went house to house in the locality to find out who had dumped the newborn in the garbage truck.
According to the Rangbah Shnong, efforts will continue to try and find those responsible within the next 24 hours.
The newborn was taken charge of by the police of Pasteur beat house.
