The College of Post Graduate Studies in Agricultural Sciences (CPGSAS), Umiam organised the valedictory programme of Rajbhasha Fortnight 2023 yesterday.
Prof. Ram Singh, Chairman of the College Rajbhasha Committee, delivered the welcome address. He dwelt on the various activities held in the college to encourage the staff to use Hindi on a daily basis.
Dr. Mayank Rai, Dean of the College, addressed the gathering and emphasised on the importance of knowing Hindi in our country.
Ri-Bhoi Deputy Commissioner Arpit Upadhyay in his speech as chief guest underlined that Hindi language connects the people in the country.
Prizes were distributed to the winners of the competition held during Rajbhasha Fortnight 2023.
The programme ended with the vote of thanks delivered by Dr. A K Singh, Member Secretary of the College Rajbhasha Committee.
