The Deputy Commissioner of Ri-Bhoi informed today that Pace Computer Services of Kolkata, in collaboration with Social Welfare Department, has launched the Elder Helpline in Meghalaya as an opportunity to support and assist senior citizens.
Elder Helpline Meghalaya is a unique partnership that aims to provide a full scope of communication and public relation services through a unique Toll Free Helpline number 14567 and attentive service to clients. The helpline is open from 8am to 8pm daily.
The services that will be provided by the helpline include information on healthcare, elder friendly products, old age and shelter homes, guidance on pension-related issues, Maintenance Act and legal issues, providing emotional support by listening and help for homeless elders.
