The Garoland State Movement Committee (GSMC) has written to the Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) to put on record its unhappiness with the, it said, lack of transparency in public disclosure of preliminary marks in the Meghalaya Civil Service (MCS) exam, which were released on Friday.
The MPSC has been under intense pressure to reveal the marks after errors in the answer key were found and candidates’ marks then had to be revised.
However, the GSMC felt that what was released by the MPSC was not enough and instead also wants the serial numbers, application numbers, name of candidates, candidates’ roll numbers, marks of Paper 1 (original and reassessment), marks of Paper 2 and qualifying marks given in the advertisement, Scheduled Tribe category, method of selection, etc.
