The recent puja festivities have slowed the border dispute resolution process but Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma expects this to get back on track soon.
The CM recently met his Assam counterpart Himanta Biswa Sarma in Guwahati but declined to go into what was discussed between the two, saying that it was a personal visit.
Sangma said today that the government will try to ensure that the committees set up by both states to take the Phase 2 negotiations forward sit down together with the two Chief Ministers within the next few weeks.
He added that some of the committees have already visited the locations they are responsible for and had their first round of meetings.
