The College of Post-Graduate Studies in Agricultural Sciences at Umiam, under the Central Agricultural University of Imphal, will organise ‘Agrivision’, the first zonal convention for the North East on futuristic agriculture this month.
The two-day event will be held on May 17-18 on the college campus and is being organised in collaboration with Vidyarthi Nidhi, Assam Agricultural University, and ICAR-RC for NEH Region, Umiam.
Eminent experts are expected to deliver their keynote addresses on several theme areas – traditional wisdom on organic and natural farming, agro-biodiversity, ethno-botany, food and nutritional security, sustainable management of natural resources, artificial intelligence for futuristic agriculture, etc.
Farmers, entrepreneurs, government and NGO personnel are requested to participate in the event.
