The East Khasi Hills anti narcotic task force arrested four persons, including two women, from Fire Brigade today and seized 411.99 grams of heroin.
The accused have been identified as Khai Khaio Hao (62), Gracy Dawman (40), Pholneilam Kipgen (34) and Plalcha Khongsai (31).
Police said the drug was stored in 34 soap boxes. Five mobile phones and two waist straps were also seized.
A case has been registered at the Laitumkhrah Police Station under the NDPS Act and investigation is under progress.
