Leaders of the Federation of Khasi Jaiñtia and Garo people (FKJGP) today met Health Minister James Sangma to apprise him about the problems faced by candidates who will appear for the recruitment to the post of nursing officer and staff nurse in NEIGRIHMS.
FKJGP vice president Kitboklang Nongphlang however said that Sangma was not able to help on the matter as the examination date is near.
Concerns have been raised by candidates who will appear for the recruitment examination for the post of Nursing Officer at NEIGRIHMS as the centre of examination allotted to most of them will be held outside the state. Some of them have to travel to as far as Rajasthan and other places and are worried of the expenses they have to bear travelling to another state for the examination.
The online mock test has been scheduled for November 29 and 30 and the actual test on December 2.
Nongphlang said that the Federation had sought an appointment with the Director of NEIGRIHMS but as he was not in town. He also informed that around 2000 posts are laying vacant in NEIGRIHMS since 2019 for the post of staff nurse but due to the pandemic.
