Awareness and empowerment programmes were today conducted by the Krishi Vigyan Kendras on the third day of the 15-day Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan (VKSA) today covering villages of South Garo Hills, East Garo Hills and West Garo Hills.
Farmers from interior villages attended sessions and advised on sustainable agriculture practices and government support schemes. The campaign focused on bridging the gap between agricultural research and farming practice by delivering scientific knowledge directly to the farmers’ fields.
Farmers also received high-quality seeds of vegetables, rice, and millets, supporting preparedness for the upcoming Kharif season.
