The East Garo Hills district police today warned against anyone taking advantage to create law and order problems due to a fire that occurred at Morongga Nengkram under Rongjeng police station.
According to East Garo Hills Superintendent of Police, Stephen A Rynjah, it was reported that at around 12:21pm today there was a fire in the house of one Presila N Marak at the Mangsang outpost.
Immediately, a team from the Fire and Emergency Service Station in Rongjeng rushed to the spot and doused the fire. There was no one in the house during the incident.
“Further, the cause of the fire is found to be due to faulty wiring and no foul play is suspected. Anyone known/found taking advantage of the same with a view to create law and order and communal disharmony will be dealt with firmly as per law,” Rynjah stated.
