Eee Cee Bakery and the EC Restaurant in Dhanketi have been ordered to close temporarily after the detection of positive Covid-19 cases and/or high-risk contacts in the Eee Cee Bakery, servants’ dormitory and house of the owners’.
The owners’ house in Upper Lachumiere, Block 2, and Eee Cee Bakery and dormitory in Hopkinson Road, Lower Lachumiere, have been declared as containment zones with effect from today to restrict unregulated entry and exit. As food sold at the Dhanketi restaurant is sourced from the bakery, the East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner has ordered that the restaurant remain closed until further orders.
Containment orders were also passed for the house of J Myrthong, Laban Masjid Road opposite Elswer School and the house of the late D Wahlang, Howell Road, Laban.
Meanwhile, containment was lifted from the house of Pradeep Chakraborty in the compound of K Pal, Lower Harisabha, Laban; first floor of the building of G Rani, ABP Road, Iewdak, Laban; and the first floor of the building of AM Rynjah, Madan Laban (Shilliang) with immediate effect.
