Shillong, Sep 17 : The Education Department has trimmed the MBOSE curriculum for the 2020-21 academic session given the disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
There have been cuts in the curriculum to English (including the Shakespeare play Macbeth, hence our headline), Environmental Education, Modern Indian Languages, History, Philosophy and various others.
It has brought out an adjusted academic calendar for lower primary, upper primary, secondary and higher secondary levels. Taking into account the reduced instructional days, the revised calendar “focuses on core concepts and essential learning outcomes,” a press release said today. The revised calendar can be downloaded from the Education Department website (www.megeducation.gov.in) or MBOSE website (www.mbose.in).
