The Meghalaya High Court will hear the objections to the maintainability of the writ petition filed by Dominic Warjri on April 3.
Warjri had filed the writ petition challenging the legality of the delimitation of constituencies of Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC).
During today’s hearing in the High Court bench of Justice Hamarsan Singh Thangkhiew, the State government and KHADC filed their objections to the maintainability of the writ petition filed by Warjri.
Warjri’s lawyer Kaustav Paul sought time to obtain necessary instructions on the matter.
Accordingly, Justice Thangkhiew listed the matter for hearing on April 3.
