South West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner Hema Nayak has expressed concern over the slow pace of work of the Block Institute of Teachers Education (BITE) under Betasing C&RD Block.
Nayak, accompanied by officials of the College of Teacher Education (CTE) Rongkhon, undertook a site inspection of the ongoing construction the institute and recommended the appointment of a dedicated monitor from the concerned department to oversee the project and ensure that work proceeds without further delays.
She underscored the critical role the institute will play in empowering local youth aspiring to pursue careers in teaching and emphasized the need for timely completion of the project.
A follow-up meeting with stakeholders will be organised soon to address the challenges and to create a plan for timely completion of the project.
