As part of the ongoing DC Connect initiative, a community interaction programme was held at the Umtyrnga village under Umling C&RD Block on May 8.
Deputy Commissioner Abhilash Baranwal attended the programme and interacted with the community in the presence of BDO EK Dkhar, representatives from various line departments including PWD, PHE, Education, MePGCL, ICDS, AH & Veterinary, Fisheries, Water Resources, Forest, Agriculture, Horticulture, and Sericulture.
More than 19 village headmen, Village Organisation (VO) members, and other community representatives attended the event and raised a wide range of local concerns, contributing to a constructive dialogue. Officials directly interacted with the villagers and allowed for on-the-spot redressal of several key issues and challenges faced by the communities.
Authorities assured timely follow-up actions and a strengthened commitment to partnership between the district administration and local communities.
