In a step towards environmental conservation and community engagement, the 67th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organised a plantation drive today at its campus in Polo and surrounding areas, i.e. Lawmali Pyllun, Forest Colony and Buddha Temple area.
This special plantation drive was conducted under the guidance of Insp Gen Anshuman Yadav and under the supervision of Deputy Insp Gen Anil Kumar Dhyani. Commandant Sunil Kumar Savita also closely monitored the event and encouraged all officers, subordinate officers and jawans to participate actively and increase plantation efforts.
A variety of indigenous and environment-friendly saplings numbering 286 in all were planted to enhance green cover, improve ecological balance and promote sustainable living, a press release informed.
Speaking on the occasion, Second-In-Commandant Sanjeev Kumar emphasised the CRPF’s commitment to not only ensuring internal security but also contributing to the welfare of the environment and society. He encouraged personnel and the local community to continue such efforts to make a lasting impact.
