The 67th battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) today observed the “Valor Day” to honour the deeds of its personnel.
The day was observed at the battalion headquarter in Shillong.
The occasion marks the extra ordinary courage and sacrifice of CRPF personnel who successfully repulsed the attack by Pakistan Brigade at Rann of Kutch in Gujarat in April, 1965,
As part of the valor day, 69 personnel comprising officers, SOs and jawans were awarded special commendation discs and certificates in recognition of their role in ensuring free, fair and peaceful conduct of the Parliament Election in 2024.
