A lower primary school in Bishnupur here received a facelift today, courtesy of the civic action programme organised by the 67 Bn of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
Present at the event were Danesh Rana, Inspector General of the North-Eastern Sector Headquarters, who inaugurated the renovation work, Sunil Kumar Savita, Commandant of the 67 Bn CRPF, Sanjeev Kumar, Second In Command, Thanglenlal Misao, Deputy Commandant, Rohit Kumar, Assistant Commandant, RahulputraIswar Gajbhiye, Medical Officer and personnel of this unit.
The renovation endeavour signifies the force’s commitment to community development and welfare, a press release stated today. The Shankardev Vidyapit Lower Primary School, nestled in the heart of Bishnupur has been a focal point of education for the local community. However, with the passage of time, the infrastructure had begun to show signs of wear and tear.
Under the civic action programme, the school premises have undergone a comprehensive makeover, including repairs to classrooms, installation of modern amenities and beautification of the surrounding landscape. The aim is to enhance the educational experience for the students and provide them with a safe and inspiring environment to learn and grow.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Rana emphasised the importance of such initiatives in fostering social cohesion and progress. Savita expressed his gratitude to all those involved in making the renovation project a reality.
