CRPF jawans of the 67 Battalion in Polo in collaboration with the Lawmali dorbar shnong took part in a cleaning drive at Lawmali forest colony and Buddha Mandir area which concluded yesterday.
The cleaning drive began on December 1 was part of the Swachhata Pakhwara.
The initiative forms part of the wider objective of CRPF to improve the local environment in collaboration with local organisation. Besides creating awareness about the importance of environment protection, such initiative is an important element in cooperative participation of CRPF with the local population, Commandant Alok Bhattacharya said.
He also thanked the dorbar shnong for helping it in contributing to the development and upkeep of the local area.
