The occupancy rate of Covid-19 beds in Shillong hospitals has remained steady at 86 percent, but is still higher than the 73 percent all-Meghalaya figure.
Health Department data from today shows that there are now 1,033 such beds allocated for the treatment of Covid-19 patients (135 in intensive care units (ICUs) and 898 oxygen-supported beds). As of today, 758 are occupied all over Meghalaya. In Shillong the figure is 648 occupied out of 755.
All hospitals and other facilities listed have at least some beds free, except for the Maternal and Child Health Hospital in Tura, which has only allocated three beds for Covid care.
