Fewer than 10 percent of hospital beds reserved for Covid-19 patients in Meghalaya are now occupied, a steep fall from the highs witnessed at the height of the second wave when healthcare institutions were close to being overwhelmed.
According to government data, 102 out of 1,084 Covid beds are occupied in the state, which works out to 9.41 percent, the lowest this figure has been since the second wave took hold.
Those districts without any Covid patients in hospitals are North Garo Hills, East Garo Hills, South Garo Hills, South West Garo Hills, East Jaintia Hills and South West Khasi Hills.
