There was one new Covid-related fatality in Meghalaya today, along with 84 new cases and 51 recoveries.
The lone death was in West Jaiñtia Hills.
There were 32 new infections in East Khasi Hills, two in East Garo Hills, zero in East Jaiñtia Hills, zero in Eastern West Khasi Hills, two in North Garo Hills, seven in Ri-Bhoi, one in South Garo Hills, eight in South West Garo Hills, zero in South West Khasi Hills, 27 in West Garo Hills, five in West Jaiñtia Hills and zero in West Khasi Hills.
East Khasi Hills accounted for 18 recoveries, East Garo Hills one, East Jaiñtia Hills three, Eastern West Khasi Hills zero, North Garo Hills two, Ri-Bhoi three, South Garo Hills six, South West Garo Hills six, South West Khasi Hills zero, West Garo Hills 10, West Jaiñtia Hills two and West Khasi Hills zero.
There are now 723 active Covid-19 cases in the state – East Garo Hills seven, East Jaiñtia Hills 11, East Khasi Hills 119, Eastern West Khasi Hills one, North Garo Hills six, Ri-Bhoi 26, South Garo Hills 29, South West Garo Hills 32, South West Khasi Hills two, West Garo Hills 452, West Jaiñtia Hills 37 and West Khasi Hills one.
In all, Meghalaya has had 95,803 Covid-19 cases, out of which 93,471 have recovered and 1,609 have died from the virus. There are 51 patients being treated in hospital with the disease – 32 in East Khasi Hills, five in Ri-Bhoi, three in South Garo Hills, 10 in West Garo Hills and one in West Jaiñtia Hills.
