There are two new Covid-related deaths in Meghalaya today taking the total number of Covid deaths this month to 51.
One fatality each was recorded in East Khasi Hills and Eastern West Khasi Hills.
The state also recorded 24 new cases and 44 recoveries.
East Khasi Hills recorded seven new cases, three each in East Garo Hills, Ri Bhoi, South West Khasi Hills and West Garo Hills, one each in East Jaiñtia Hills, Eastern West Khasi Hills, North Garo Hills, South West Garo Hills and West Jaiñtia Hills.
Eat Khasi Hills accounted for 20 recoveries, West Jaiñtia Hills six, West Garo Hills four, three each in Ri Bhoi and North Garo Hills, two each in Eastern West Khasi Hills and South West Garo Hills and one each in East Garo Hills, East Jaiñtia Hills, South Garo Hills, and West Khasi Hills.
There are now 189 active Covid-19 cases in the State. East Khasi Hills with 61, Ri Bhoi 24, West Garo Hills 23, West Jaiñtia Hills 19, North Garo Hills 15, East Jaiñtia Hills and South West Garo Hills 11 each, seven in Eastern West Khasi Hills, South West Khasi Hills and West Khasi Hills and four in East Garo Hills.
In all, Meghalaya has had 93, 437 Covid-19 cases, 91, 671 have recovered and 1,577 have died from the virus.
